Being on deck only guarantees the batter will get a chance to bat. Kinda like this Spider. It sits waiting to get up to the plate, break off a piece of rusty metal and get crackin’ with new steel. Similar to a batter, it also waits in a ring of dust and dirt while surveying the field of other players that roll in and around it. But if I’m being completely honest that’s where the metaphor ends for me. I’m striking out on other ways the two are similar. It’s not like the Alfa can cry foul if we hang a snowman of cars in front of it or throw it a yakker and move it out of our wheelhouse. That all being said, we plan to knock this restoration out of the park when we get to it. Aaaaannnnd, I’m done here.
